Autodesk Map Series
All the tools you need to create, maintain, integrate, query, and
present all your mapping data -in one package.
Autodesk Map™ Series delivers
- Thematic mapping and database tools of Autodesk Map™
- Raster integration features of Autodesk® Raster Design
- Versatile query and map publication tools in the new,
easy-to-use Autodesk® OnSite
Overview
Now you can get advanced mapping, precision image integration, and
spatial data query tools in a single software package. Autodesk Map™
Series is a combination of three Autodesk products:
Autodesk Map™
Autodesk® Raster Design
The New Autodesk® OnSite
Autodesk Map Series is a spatial data creation, query, and presentation tool
that land use and infrastructure management professionals can use to help
collaborate and communicate on all their mapping projects.
Spatial Data Creation and Organisation with Autodesk Map
- Create maps with an engineering precision using the digitizing, topology,
and spatial data management tools
- Editing tools like rubbersheeting and edge and boundary trimming help
you clean up map data and automatically prepare topology
- Vectorisation and raster manipulation tools aid in building an accurate
database
- Attach attribute information in Object Data or SQL tables while digitising
- Access multiple maps stored in different projections with support for
over 3,000 global coordinate systems
Raster Integration with Autodesk Raster Design
- Integrate scanned paper drawings and maps, aerial and satellite photography,
and other raster information into your presentations
- Edit raster data, convert raster to vector, and use image editing tools
to help achieve the specific effect you want
- Apply filters, change image color depth, adjust color density, and standardise
color usage to improve the quality of scanned images
- Create, select, and manipulate raster entities using familiar AutoCAD®
commands
- Convert geometry selectively and efficiently with interactive vectorisation
tools to meet your specific needs
- Easily convert typeset and hand-printed text in scanned documents with
built-in optical character recognition (OCR) functions.
Data Query and Visualisation with the new Autodesk OnSite
- Integrate and present spatial data in a clear, precise display
- A friendly graphic interface makes it easy for nontechnical people to
learn and use
- Setup wizards get you started fast
- Once spatial data is integrated, use Autodesk OnSite to take measurements,
query objects, build buffers, and perform “what if” scenarios
- Conduct multifile, thematic queries
- Trace networks for shortest or optimal paths, buffer objects, overlay
one map layer with another, determine flood planes, examine electrical connectivity,
and more
- Use measurement tools to calculate line length, edges of solids, radius
and diameter of circles, or measure distances between two selected points
and areas defined by series of points
- Display markups made to maps in the field and incorporate them in your
central database
Presentation Tools
- Easily create high-quality printed plots or interactive maps
- Build clear thematic displays, plot professional-quality map books, and
automatically generate legends and north arrows on plots
- Send high-resolution output to printing and plotting devices for flexibility
and control
- Autodesk Map Series supports scalable web and mobile server and viewing
technology, so you don’t need to reauthor map project files when distributing
to the Web
Autodesk Map Series gives your organisation a competitive advantage by providing
tools that help your team work more collaboratively in all their mapping projects.
Oracle Spatial
Autodesk Map Series software is integrated with Oracle® Spatial for fast,
dependable exchange of graphics and attributes. Simultaneously export DWG
files from multiple maps with different coordinate systems into an Oracle
Spatial database, and then query and edit that information selectively. Autodesk
Map Series also includes a new custom Polygon object that facilitates geometry
support, a schema that writes DWG data into feature tables in Oracle schema,
and record-based locking that manages concurrent access to data by multiple
users.
