Open Geo-Information System in Engineering
and Surveying
TOPOBASE™ taps into immense resources for you.
TOPOBASE™ is a Geo-Information system which is in accordance
with the specifications of the international OpenGIS - consortium,
perfectly suited to the individual needs of engineering and surveying
offices.
Due to the collection, storage, examination, adjusting, integration, analysis
and representation of data, in its spatial context, the possibility for evaluations
and inquiries is achieved with a total new quality.
The spatial reference allows existing data to receive substantially more value:
Geographical evaluations and thematic representation on maps supply complete
new references and insights. With the newest technology and future-orientated
world-wide standards the Geo data server TOPOBASE™ offers
maximum flexibility and transparency –
and therefore the highest guarantee of investment protection.
For
the specific requirements of engineer and surveying offices.
Specialized applications, geared to the individual needs of
engineer and surveying offices, were developed for the open Geo data server
TOPOBASE™. They are available as standard solutions and
have already been sucessfully installed by numerous customers. These user modules
interlock, and all riformation is stored in the central database. They are mutually
able to be randomly combined and are supplemented to the comprehensive
GIS.
Moreover, the users can define the entire media themselves and according to
need in the simplest way, build up cadastral applications e.g.
land registries or applications for which till now, no suitable software package
exists.
Based on the relational database system ORACLE with the spatial cartridge,
the complete data inventory (geometry, topology, meta- and attribute data) is
administered with TOPOBASE™ into one single, seamless
environment. With the concept of long transactions and version managment several
users are able to work together on the database, without any inconsistency.
The smooth integration of the system into a heterogeneous IT-environment
is ensured. The users valuable existing data can be taken over trouble-free.
Without lengthy training, the access and utilization of the data is possible
for anyone that is equipped with Web-Browser.
For the graphic presentation and layout, Autodesk MAP, Land
Desktop, Envision and Map Guide is used. The open architecture also allows use
with different graphic systems e.g. GeoMedia, ArcView, and MapInfo.
TB Road Design
Road design, cross sections, elevation plan, mass computation, rigging lists,
mass computation, construction of knots: Drops, bending trace, tractrix curve,
roundabout.
TB
ALB (D) TB Register (CH)
Direction and information from the official land managment (ALB/ALKIS/Register),
expenditure of the proofs and reports, right of access administration, automatic
linkage with the layout plan, reading the data with plausibility checks and
optimization, interface to the land register office.
Interfaces to other Systems
Data exchange with other systems, e.g. SICAD SQD import/export, shape export,
parametrical import from ASCII files, DXF inclusive Geo building, Excel tables
and ACCESS data bases, export to MS ACCESS.
Interfaces
to the Official Formats
• Germany: EDBS (ALK, ATKIS) BGRUND, DFK
• Switzerland: INTERLIS I+II
(DM93, DM01 as well as additional cantonal requirements)
