In more than 850 companies, utilities and municipalities, c-plan's
TOPOBASE™ has become established as THE universal solution for geodata
servers, with many customers backing data transmission via Internet or intranet.
Now, c-plan® is presenting its new Web Frame with a convenient, ergonomic
interface to guide the user through large data stocks and datasets.
The focus of this new server-based Web solution is an intuitive and easy-to-use
interface which – as is typical of c-plan products – can be configured
and extended by the user. Behind the interface are many familiar, but also
new tools: the overview window, for instance, provides easier orientation
and navigation. Simple switches permit quick map object queries without the
need for special skills or previous knowledge about the data stock. Map layers
are organized and managed as in Windows Explorer. Area calculations, redlining,
a freely configurable scale bar, street and locality filter, object snap and
drawing functions are other product features.
Another winning feature is the integrated and optional e-commerce solution,
TB-Datashop, which uses Internet or intranet networks to perform map and plan-related
query/distribution/sales activities.
At present, it is the only e-commerce GIS solution available on the market
based on MapGuide and Oracle 9i. This enables cities, towns and engineering
offices to offer their valuable geodata in a seamless form with daily updating.
Complete order filling, from ordering to dispatch and billing, is efficiently
handled by this module.
Not least, Web Frame provides convenient plotter and reporting functions:
at the push of a button, scale, paper size, plan headers and print layout
can be set. Optional modules even allow remote control of printers and plotters
via the Internet.
With these products, c-plan® again furnishes proof of its high competence
in developing open and advanced GIS solutions.
