TB-Basic Map

is the basic module for the graphic processing of data with all other TOPOBASE™ modules.
It presents data from TOPOBASE™ in AutoCAD Map depending on the topic and true to scale. Beyond this, it offers Cogo functions such as arc intersection, orthogonal shots, etc. TB-Basic Map has to be installed on any workstation on which graphic data is to be processed, entered, deleted, and altered.

The Representation Model

In order to generate utility maps, installation maps, thematic maps, etc. rationally and fast, TB-Basic Map uses «representation models». Representation models are prescriptions for the graphic implementation of data that are present in a uniform structure.
Thus, the same data inventory may be edited in different scales or for different topics without the
need to enter data several times. The picture shows how the same data inventory looks as a plan with a routing cadastre or as a facility plan.

Besides settings such as sizes and scales, SQL queries may also be integrated into the representation model, in order to edit maps regarding certain topics. For all features topical data may be called up, which are presented in a predefined form (color, symbols, size, line weight, etc.).
