AutoCAD 2005 Users Increase Their Efficiency with Software Partner Innovation
Members of the Autodesk Developer Network Deliver Nearly 300 Specialized Applications

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., April 06, 2004 - Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), the world's leading design software and digital content company, today announced that more than 50 members of its Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) are now shipping products or add-on applications compatible with AutoCAD® 2005 software. Nearly 300 specialized products are currently available through members of ADN including those from industry leading software companies such as COADE, Inc., ARCHIBUS, Inc., CYCO Software, SOFiSTiK AG, GEOMAP, and C-Plan AG.

The Autodesk Developer Network was created by Autodesk to supply commercial and individual software developers with the resources needed to build specialized software applications that meet the needs of a wide variety of customers, in a broad range of industries. With AutoCAD 2005, ADN members have access to leading-edge technologies like Microsoft’s .NET Framework and the world's foremost 2D/3D design tools from Autodesk. The managed .NET API introduced into AutoCAD 2005 and AutoCAD 2005-based products gives programmers access to the ease of VisualStudio with the power of C++. Using these tools, members of the Autodesk Developer Network are able to deliver next-generation, industry-specific applications to the worldwide design consumers. Autodesk customers will find that the new tools will allow them to better integrate their design information into the full lifecycle of product development and management – maximizing their competitive advantage.

“Our joint relationship with Autodesk and the ADN goes back almost two decades. As a result, we share customers of large corporations that need the right solutions for managing their complex workstations and critical business assets,” said Steve Segarra, Chief Technology Officer of ARCHIBUS, Inc. "The investment that Autodesk has made in this latest release is very exciting. New features that help create and organize information through tables and fields and the ability to share that information through the new Sheet Set Manager have, in turn, helped us to provide a better and faster product for our customers who manage critical business assets across multiple worksites."
