Award for c-plan at Autodesk Techcamp in Paris

For the fifth time in succession, c-plan was awarded as one of the best performing companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Every year, Autodesk selects and awards those partners that reached the highest turnover with Autodesk products. Also in 2003, c-plan was one of the top 3 selling companies with a total turnover of 10 Million Euro.

During the three days conference in Paris organized by Autodesk, over 500 Autodesk partners from EMEA discussed on trends and standards in the technological evolution of CAD and open Geographic Information Systems.
During this conference, in one of the technical sessions, c-plan was invited to present their latest release of TOPOBASE™. Compared to the previous release of TOPOBASE, TOPOBASE 3 became considerable improvements in, performance, flexibility and scalability. Furthermore, TOPOBASE 3 is completely internationalized, that means TOPOBASE supports all the languages from Cyrillic to Chinese and Hebraic to Latin. TOPOBASE 3 is for 100% written with .NET technology and all functions are available in the .Net API. Due to these improvements, the user can customize the system exactly and without limitation to its own needs and by that increase the efficiency of his information system.

The Oracle database with the spatial component, builds the heard of the TOPOBASE system. Besides the attribute -, Graphic - and Meta-data that is stored in the database, a complete set of standard GIS functionalities have been developed as an add-on to Oracle Spatial. TOPOBASE uses the standard functionality offered by Oracle but added supplementary functionality like long-term transactions and a topology engine, which are indispensable tools in a GIS environment. c-plan early recognized the on-going trend and increasing demands on integration of the various information systems. The modern system philosophy of TOPOBASE 3 completely applies to these demands. TOPOBASE can be easily integrated with other information systems and allow data access and maintenance with third party (GIS) software.
